| 08/01 | CITP 2011 Planning Meeting Cottage Grove, OR |
This is the initial planning meeting for CITP 2011! The plan is to meet at the Long's home in Cottage Grove at 3:00 pm for the meeting. Of course, after the meeting (at about 5:00) there will be food. Stan and Jim G have agreed to co-chair the event but they need volunteers and help from ALL members of the club! So come on down and plan on volunteering to make this another great event! |

| 08/07 | Crater Lake Tour II | Saturday, August 7, will be a tour to Crater Lake.
The tour will be leaving at 8 am from the LCC parking lot off Eldon Schaeffer Drive. When we leave LCC, we will travel east on Hwy 58 to Hwy 97, south to Hwy 138, west to Hwy 232 and south into Crater Lake National Park. We will have information packets for you before departure, showing the planned route, rest stops, driving route in the park, food options, etc. We plan to be back in Eugene between 5-6 pm. Due to road construction we will be going and coming back the same route, something I don't particularly enjoy doing, but our options are limited. Surprisingly, this is also the shortest route to and from Crater Lake. NOTE:The cost to enter this National Park is $10 per vehicle, which is good for seven days at Crater Lake. OR, if you are over 62 years of age, you are eligible to purchase a lifetime pass for $10. (You must have your driver's license with you). OR, if you are not old enough you can purchase an annual pass for $80. The Senior or Annual pass are good for all federal recreation areas where a fee is charged. |

| 08/22 | Concours d'Elegance at Village Green Resort Cottage Grove, OR |
Cascade Corvette Club has volunteered again this year to help with parking cars at the Village Green Concours d'Elegance.
We will be covering 3 shifts for the show (9-11, 11-1 and 1-3) and will need 2-3 people for each shift. And, for volunteering to help park cars, you will get to enjoy the car show for FREE! We will have a sign up sheet at the August 13th meeting or you can call Dick Mart at 541-485-8766 to pick a time. This is an opportunity to help our fellow car enthusiasts and see a neat show on the same day.
