This will be the 21st Thunder in the Mountains. Over the years, countless numbers of Corvette lovers from all over the Pacific Northwest have joined in making the gathering something very special. This year they're going to have a reception on Friday evening, a Show & Shine on Saturday, a banquet with a guest speaker on Saturday evening and an Auto-Cross on Sunday. Monday will be a day to enjoy a Whistler experience; one of countless outdoor or indoor activities.
For those not wishing to participate in all of the Corvette events there is lots to do. Whistler has it all: restaurants, great shopping, spa visits, golfing, fly fishing, walking, hiking, white water rafting, canoeing, cycling of all types, ATV tours, horseback riding, jet boating, and glider rides just to name a few. If you feel four days of the event is not enough time to take in Whistler, consider extra days to make a mini vacation. You’re probably aware that Whistler will host the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and preparations are well under way. Check out http://www.BCCorvetteClub.ca under Events for a flyer and registration form. | 08/10 | Creswell Library's 2nd annual Show and Shine Creswell, OR |
Last year Creswell Library held its first
“Show and Shine” to showcase not only the
great vintage cars in our community, but
also a terrific resource here at our
library—a computer database of car repair
manuals (Auto Repair Reference Center).
We welcome all types of vehicles with a special emphasis on local owners. We have tentatively scheduled it for Sunday, August 10, 12-4pm here at the Creswell Library on Oregon Avenue. More information will be provided as it becomes available! |

Queen Debbie has finalized the date and has big plans for the 2008 President's Mystery Tour. S-o-o-o-o, don't make other plans for this day!
The cost will be $22 per person and includes Admission/Event/Lunch/Entertainment/one raffle ticket each. |
